Seeds
Max Seybold, Founder and CEO of CherryPal, headquartered in Mountain View, CA, was finally sick and tired of fixing his PC every weekend and didn't want to spend the thousand dollars buying a Mac.
Why can't there be a computer that doesn't require frequent downloads and updates, doesn't cost a thousand dollars, and consumes less energy?
He decided to get a team together to create such a product, CherryPal.
Freescale, previously Motorola's semiconductor division, used to supply Apple computers with "power architecture" processors before Apple switched to Intel chips. CherryPal utilizes Freescale's latest "power architecture" processors.
CherryPal is Freescale's "next Apple" with a completely different brand identity; inexpensive, green, easy to use, fast and community based. If we could decrease the consumption of power of a personal computer, where else can we decrease energy consumption.
